Description

Acute care surgical group at Ascension St. Francis Hospital in Evanston, Illinois in search of a new associate with interest in general and acute care surgery. We staff a suburban level one trauma center and are looking for a well-trained general surgeon to join us. Case mix includes bread and butter general surgery operations along with acute care surgery and daytime trauma coverage.

Current services provided include a broad range of elective general surgery, endoscopy, as well as urgent surgery and trauma. General Surgery resident coverage is 24/7 with benefits of an academic environment affiliated with the University of Illinois and the opportunity for research if desired. Home call is 1/3 along with the option to take additionally compensated night and weekend shifts. Current physicians have fellowship training in MIS, hepatobiliary, and surgical critical care.

Requirements

We seek a full time general surgeon with an interest in becoming a partner in a suburban practice. The candidate should be interested in practicing a wide range of general surgical procedures, as well as working with and teaching surgery residents and medical students.
