Facility Medical Director – General Anesthesiologist

HCA Healthcare Anesthesia Services is seeking a Board Certified/Board Eligible General Anesthesiologist to serve as Facility Medical Director at HCA Florida Trinity Hospital. This is a leadership opportunity within a growing program that values collaboration, clinical excellence, and work/life balance.

About the Position

• Lead a team of 8 Anesthesiologists and 26 Anesthesiologist Assistants (AAs) across 12 sites of service
• Medical direction of CAAs
• Diverse case mix: General Surgery, Orthopedics, Endoscopy, GYN, Vascular, OB, EP, Spine (No Trauma, No Cardiac)
• Average work week: 40–50 hours plus in-house overnight call (1:8, 3 p.m.–7 a.m.) with post-call day off
• OB covered by dedicated in-house CAA team, rotating 3-person schedule (Monday–Sunday, 8 p.m.–8 a.m.)
• Leadership Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with Operations, Hospital Administration, and APP leadership
  • Foster a respectful, high-performing clinical culture
  • Drive quality metrics, efficiency, and patient outcomes
  • Promote physician satisfaction and retention
  • Previous leadership experience required

Requirements

• BC/BE Anesthesiology
• Ability to obtain Florida Medical License
