Rutgers Cancer Institute and Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School (RWJMS), seeks a nationally recognized clinical researcher and surgical oncologist, with proven leadership experience and a distinguished record of original clinical research, exceptional clinical and educational skills, and a commitment to the Institute's mission. The Division Chief of Surgical Oncology has the opportunity to shape an existing program by leveraging the unique resources in the state's only NCI-designated Comprehensive Cancer Center and the RWJBarnabas Health system. The Division Chief will provide oversight for all operational and programmatic aspects within the discipline of surgical oncology (GI, HPB, Melanoma/sarcoma, Breast, Endocrine) and is responsible for oversight of the clinical practice, clinical research activities, and mentorship of the researchers/providers assigned.
The academic appointment will be in the Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School with a resident faculty appointment at Rutgers Cancer Institute and a close working relationship with colleagues across RWJBarnabas Health. The Division Chief will work under the direction of Rutgers Cancer Institute's Chief Surgical Officer and Director on mutually agreed upon areas and serve as the liaison to Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital and the RWJBarnabas Health Oncology Service Line for all operational and programmatic matters regarding surgical oncology programs for the Rutgers Cancer Institute.

Requirements
Must have MD or equivalent degree, board certification in General Surgery and either board certification in Complex General Surgical Oncology or at least at the associate professor rank as an academic Surgical Oncologist, and have active/be eligible for NJ Medical License.
