Full-Time Office-Based Vein Physician | No Hospital Duties | 4-Day Week | Coastal Mississippi (Near New Orleans and AL/FL Beaches)
Position Title
Full-Time Office-Based Vein Physician
Preferred Specialties: Vascular Surgery, Cardiothoracic Surgery, General Surgery, Plastic Surgery, or Interventional Radiology. Other procedure-based specialties (e.g., Cardiology, Dermatology, Anesthesiology) are encouraged to inquire.
Location
Primarily based in Hattiesburg, MS (1.5 hours from New Orleans, LA; 3 hours from Destin, FL) and Meridian, MS, with occasional travel to our third office in D’Iberville, MS. All work is office-based; no hospital responsibilities required.
Compensation
Base Salary: $400,000 annually.
Production-Based Incentives: RVU model starting after Year 1, with potential earnings exceeding $600,000 for a 4-day workweek.
Sign-On Bonus: $20,000, payable upon start.
Relocation Assistance: Up to $10,000 for eligible out-of-state candidates.
Practice Overview
Join our privately owned, single-physician (vascular surgeon) vein practice in southern Mississippi, supported by a Nurse Practitioner, Registered Nurse, Registered Vascular Technologists, and a dedicated team across three busy locations. We specialize in minimally invasive treatments (e.g., endovenous laser ablation, phlebectomy, sclerotherapy) with a focus on patient satisfaction and outcomes. Enjoy a 4-day workweek (9 AM–5 PM), no hospital duties, and only occasional after-hours phone calls. With plans to expand to additional locations and add mid-level providers, this role offers fractional ownership opportunities after Year 2.
Key Responsibilities
* Perform office-based vein procedures and follow-up consultations.
* Evaluate and manage patients with venous insufficiency through history, physical exams, and diagnostic ultrasound.
* Collaborate with the team to ensure seamless patient care, including pre- and post-procedure education.
* Maintain accurate electronic health records (EMR/CureMD) using templates for minimal input.
* Participate in occasional society-mandated quality assurance meetings and continuing education.
* Contribute to practice growth initiatives, such as expanding services or mentoring mid-level providers.
* Collaborate with our in-house revenue cycle management team to ensure accurate billing and coding.
* No surgical or hospital-based duties; focus on patient comfort in an office setting.
Qualifications
* MD or DO degree from an accredited institution.
* Active medical license in good standing (or eligibility for licensure in Mississippi).
* Board certification or eligibility in Vascular Surgery, General Surgery, Interventional Radiology, Emergency Medicine, Plastic Surgery, Dermatology, or a related field, with hands-on experience in vein treatments. American Board of Venous & Lymphatic Medicine certification preferred but not required.
* Proven expertise in leg vein ablation, phlebectomy, and sclerotherapy.
* Strong interpersonal skills with a patient-centered, positive approach and enthusiasm for team collaboration.
* Unrestricted DEA registration for necessary pre-procedure prescriptions.
* Commitment to evidence-based practice and ongoing professional development.
* Ability to thrive in a dynamic, hospital-paced workflow within an office-based setting.

Recruitment Timeline

4. Onboarding Process: After contract signing, onboarding takes 3–5 months, including credentialing, licensure (if needed), and coordination of your start date. This timeline allows time for resignation notice and relocation, if applicable.
