Description
Charleston Area Medical Center (CAMC), a nationally recognized academic medical center and one of West Virginia’s premier health care providers, is seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Breast Surgeon to join our growing surgical team. The ideal candidate will have advanced training and a passion for delivering compassionate, patient-centered care while working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary breast program.
Requirements
Responsibilities
Provide surgical evaluation, treatment, and management for patients with benign and malignant breast disease.
Collaborate closely with oncologists, radiologists, pathologists, plastic surgeons, and other specialists in a comprehensive cancer care setting.
Participate in weekly tumor boards, multidisciplinary planning, and clinical case reviews.
Contribute to education of residents and medical students as part of CAMC’s academic mission.
Engage in quality improvement initiatives and maintain the highest standards of surgical outcomes.
Option to participate in clinical research and trials.
Qualifications
MD or DO degree from an accredited institution.
Completion of General Surgery residency and Fellowship in Breast Surgery (or Surgical Oncology with breast focus).
Board Certified/Eligible in General Surgery.
Eligible for medical licensure in West Virginia.
Strong clinical, surgical, and communication skills with a commitment to academic medicine and patient care.
