About us and our Journey:
We are looking for dedicated G1 clinicians to join our Occupational Therapy team at Monash Medical centre in full time in an ongoing capacity.
This role will also form an integral part of the wider Allied Health and ward multidisciplinary team including physiotherapists, speech therapists, dieticians, social workers, medical staff, and nursing staff
We are looking for a dedicated Grade 1 clinician to join our Occupational Therapy team full time in an ongoing capacity.This role will also form an integral part of the wider Allied Health and ward multidisciplinary team including physiotherapists, speech therapists, dieticians, social workers, medical staff, and nursing staff

This Grade 1 position includes acute rotations at Monash Medical Centre Clayton and the new Victorian Heart Hospital. You will work with patients with varying conditions including
Medical conditions including: e.g. cardiac, respiratory and general medicine, infectious diseases, rheumatology
Surgical patients e.g. kidney transplant, gastroenterology, amputees, cardiac surgery
Neurological conditions e.g. stroke, brain and spinal surgeries, Parkinson’s Disease, MS
Older persons, including delirium and dementia
Young adults with complex disability e.g. cerebral palsy, autism, intellectual disability
NDIS participants (new and existing)
This position also includes the opportunity to gain experience across the continuum of care, offering a rotation in subacute at the Kingston Centre (in rehabilitation or geriatric evaluation and management), and community rehabilitation.
A Day in the Life:
As a grade 1 occupational therapists you will be responsible for a caseload of clients. You will be a valued member and contributor to the multidisciplinary team consisting of fellow allied health, a medical team and nursing team. You will work with patients and clients every day to enable them to improve their participation in occupations.
As a valued member of our Occupational Therapy team your key responsibilities will include:
Striving to achieve the best care outcomes for our patients and their families/carers
Completing occupational assessments, setting goals with your clients and the multidisciplinary team \
Completing occupational based interventions that make a different to patient’s everyday lives
If you have challenges? Don’t worry, you have a team of peers, regular supervision and a large network of occupational therapists around you.

What you need:
Occupational Therapy AHPRA registration and Victorian driver’s license
Appropriate degree qualification
