Private Practice Breast Imaging Opportunity In New Lenox, Illinois

Central Illinois Radiological Associates (CIRA) is seeking a dedicated onsite breast imaging radiologist to join our growing team.  The position is based at Silver Cross Hospital in New Lenox, Illinois.  The position collaborates with a multidisciplinary team of breast cancer providers specializing in breast surgery, medical oncology, radiation oncology and other specialty areas providing individualized care.  This is a great opportunity to practice quality medicine with a team of dedicated, collegial and supportive breast imagers.

The position is Monday – Friday with participation in a rotating weekend schedule of reading breast imaging studies from home. No general radiology call responsibilities.  The position interprets screening and diagnostic mammograms, performs and interprets breast ultrasound, breast MRI and ABUS, participates in U/S and MRI guided breast procedures.  Our enterprise worklist solution provides additional opportunity to collaboratively seek additional breast imaging services throughout the CIRA footprint as needed.  Additional diagnostic imaging responsibilities are optional and customizable based on the candidate’s experience and interests.  The position utilizes Hologic imaging equipment and reads on Mammo Plus.  In addition, we are looking for candidates who have strong interpersonal and communication skills to cultivate relationships with our hospital partners, clinicians, employees and patients.
