Bassett Healthcare Network, a progressive, academic health system in central New York, major teaching affiliate of Columbia University, is seeking a General Surgeon with a focus on breast surgery to join our staff.

Job Description & Responsibilities

• Join an established group of 15 Surgeons and 6 Advanced Practice Clinicians
• Certified Cancer Treatment Center based in Cooperstown with multiple regional centers for diagnostic and treatment options
• General Surgery call coverage required, with call responsibility limited to Primary Hospital
• 180 Bed Primary Hospital with Level III Trauma Center
• Instant Referral Base provided by over 300 Network Clinicians
• Full Support Staff including PA’s with Surgical Residents and Medical Student Interaction
• Some travel for regional patient care
• State of the Art OR’s with one devoted to the Xi DaVinci Surgical System
• Salary Range: $235,360 - $424,442. This compensation range represents Bassett Healthcare’s good faith belief of the compensation range at the time of this posting or advertisement. Salary is based on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, training, and fair market evaluation based on industry standards

Job Qualifications

• MD, DO or MBBS
• Board Eligible or Board Certified
• NYS Licensure
• BLS Certification Required
• Breast Fellowship Required
