Clinical Pharmacist Opportunities – Surgery, Neurology, Internal Medicine
We’re hiring pharmacists to join our specialized teams in surgery, neurology, and internal medicine. Each area offers distinct clinical challenges and opportunities for professional growth.
Surgery Pharmacist
- Optimize perioperative medication therapy
- Collaborate with surgical teams on pain management, antimicrobial stewardship, and transitions of care
- Fast-paced, acute care setting with rapid decision-making
Neurology Pharmacist
- Manage complex regimens for epilepsy, MS, Parkinson’s, and stroke
- Support access to specialty medications and patient adherence
- Chronic care focus with high-impact clinical interventions
Internal Medicine Pharmacist
- Provide broad-spectrum care across general medicine units
- Manage therapies for heart failure, COPD, renal disease, and infections
- Diverse patient population and strong teaching and research opportunities
What You’ll Do
- Deliver direct patient care through medication management
- Participate in interdisciplinary rounds and clinical decision-making
- Educate patients and providers on pharmacotherapy

Minimum Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s in pharmacy or PharmD degree required.
- Experience: PGY-1 residency required or equivalent hospital experience (three years). PGY-2 residency is preferred for specialty areas.
- Licensure: Commonwealth of Virginia State Board of Pharmacy license required. American Heart Association Health Care Provider BLS certification required.

Physical Demands
Job requires sitting for prolonged periods; repetitive motion: typing. Proficient communicative, auditory, and visual skills; attention to detail and ability to write legibly; ability to lift, push, or pull less than 20 pounds. May be exposed to fumes, chemicals, blood and body fluids, and infectious disease.
Position compensation range: $55.67–$89.07 hourly
