Locums Orthopaedic Trauma Surgery Physician in Coos Bay, Oregon - Trauma Call Only, No Clinic

This trauma-focused assignment eliminates clinic and elective surgery responsibilities, allowing you to concentrate exclusively on orthopaedic trauma coverage with strong APP support.

Practice & Cases

• Level III Trauma Center serving primarily adult and geriatric patients
• General orthopaedic trauma including hip fractures, ankle fractures, distal radius fractures, and long-bone injuries
• Emergency department consults, admissions, rounding, and operative trauma care
• Dedicated trauma physician assistant support for consults, admissions, rounds, and first assisting

Schedule

• Trauma call coverage only
• Approximately 7-10 consecutive days per month
• Ongoing monthly coverage opportunities
• No clinic responsibilities or elective operating room blocks

Requirements

• Must be an MD or DO
• Active Oregon license required
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Orthopaedic Surgery
• ACLS, ATLS, and DEA required

Logistics

• Airfare, lodging, rental car, and mileage are covered
• Travel accommodations coordinated for scheduled coverage blocks
